Lakewood Man Injured In House Fire

A man in his 30s was pulled out of a house after a fire in Lakewood late Friday night.

LAKEWOOD, WA - Firefighters found a man in his 30s inside a home while fighting a fire late Friday night. Just before midnight, firefighters responded to a home in the downtown area engulfed in flames. While searching the home, police found the man inside a bedroom.

The fire was put out quickly, according to West Pierce Fire and Rescue, and the man was treated and received CPR at the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital, but the department did not immediately have an update on his condition.

The scene of the fire was along the 5200 block of 108th Street Southwest, which is one block west of Bridgeport Way near Hidden Lake. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
