Lakewood Motel Burns In Monday Night Fire
The Colonial Motel in Lakewood caught fire late Monday night.

LAKEWOOD, WA - West Pierce fire crews were on scene Monday night at a motel fire in Lakewood. The fire was at the Colonial Motel along the 12100 block of Pacific Highway. There was no immediate word whether anyone was injured in the fire. However, the motel is no longer in business.
According to West Pierce fire, crews arrived to find flames shooting out of two buildings on the property. Firefighters were able to quickly put out a fire in one of the buildings, but the second fire took longer to extinguish.
The Colonial Motel building is located along a commercial stretch of Pacific Highway near the Bridgeport Way exit off of I-5.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
