Lakewood Murder-Suicide Leaves 2 Dead

The Tacoma News-Tribune reported that two people are dead after an apparent homicide-suicide Friday afternoon.

LAKEWOOD, WA - Lakewood police said a man and a woman were shot in an apparent murder-suicide Friday afternoon. Police responded to a call in the 8800 block of Rose Road SW, according to the Tacoma News-Tribune. A 24-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were found with gunshot wounds in the home, which belonged to the man's mother.

The woman had multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene. The man had a single gunshot wound to the head and died after transport to a local hospital.

The woman's two children, ages five and three, were not harmed and are now in the custody of the man's mother.
