Lakewood Officer Involved In Shooting Near Port Orchard
The officer wounded a man, who was later arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm.

LAKEWOOD, WA - An off-duty Lakewood officer wounded a man in a shooting near Port Orchard early Sunday morning, according to the Tacoma News-Tribune.
The officer was driving near Port Orchard around 4 a.m. Sunday when the incident happened. The officer shot the suspect in the arm, and he was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office could not say what caused the shooting, but the suspect was later arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm, according to the report, and had his bail set at $100,000.

The Lakewood officer has been placed on pain administrative leave, according to the report.
