Lakewood Police Officer Accused of Embezzlement Loses His Job

The 34-year-old DuPont made his first appearance in federal court this past week. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 27 at 11 a.m.

Lakewood Police Officer Skeeter Manos no longer works for the department, according to a press release by Police Lt. Chris Lawler.

. The fund was used for supporting families of four police officers who were gunned down in 2009.

His job was terminated as a police officer by Lakewood City Manager Andrew Neiditz on Feb. 10 based on the recommendation of Lakewood Police Chief Bret Farrar, according to the release.

The FBI continues to work on the investigation with assistance from the Lakewood Police Department. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. in federal court in Tacoma.
