Lakewood Police Track Down Bank Robber In Under 2 Hours
An eagle-eyed officer recognized the suspect after seeing surveillance footage of the robbery, police say.

LAKEWOOD, WA - Lakewood police solved a bank robbery in precisely one hour and 59 minutes on Monday.
At 2:32 p.m. Monday, a suspect robbed the Key Bank located along Gravelly Lake Drive. Witnesses saw the man flee in a gold Toyota Camry, and bank surveillance cameras captured clear images of the man's face and clothing. The images from the surveillance cameras were distributed to all officers in the department.
Near 4 p.m., a Lakewood officer recognized the suspect from a previous incident. When police went to the man's house, they saw a gold Toyota Camry parked in the garage.

As police gathered to surround the house, the they saw the suspect fleeing through a nearby yard. Police were able to capture him, and they say they found the money from the bank robbery in his pocket.
Time of arrest: 4:31 p.m., police said.
