'Major Crash' Shuts Down Steilacoom Boulevard In Lakewood: Police

The crash was reported just before 11 a.m. Friday, according to Lakewood police.

Update: Steilacoom Boulevard reopened at 12:15 p.m.

LAKEWOOD, WA - Lakewood police are reporting that a "major crash" has shut down Steilacoom Boulevard northwest of the downtown area. The scene of the crash is at Phillips Road near the northern end of Steilacoom Lake.

According to police, a driver fled from police and crashed. Around 11:30 a.m., police said they were hoping to have Steilacoom reopened within an hour. The suspect who fled was taken into custody.

Four people sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash and were taken to the hospital, according to Lakewood police.
