Man Killed In Homeless Camp Near Lakewood
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office is looking for tips to find out who shot and killed Daniel Stueart on Saturday.

PARKLAND, WA — A 43-year-old Pierce County man was shot and killed at a homeless camp off of Steele Street South on Saturday, and now the sheriff's office is hoping someone knows who did it.
Daniel Stueart, also known as Danny Rasher, was shot and killed Saturday around 7:30 p.m. along the 10000 block of Steel Street South, which is near Charlton Lake just on the other side of I-5 from Lakewood. Police described the area as a "large transient encampment."
Witnesses told police they heard a single gunshot, and then heard someone running away from the scene. Police are accepting tips about the killing through Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County. Call 1-800-222-TIPS to report what you know. There's a possible $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
