Man Rams Ex-Girlfriend's Car, Now He's Facing 7 Charges

The domestic violence attack happened Sunday morning near SR 7 in Parkland.

PARKLAND, WA - A man who carried out a horrific domestic violence attack on his ex-girlfriend in Parkland Sunday is now being held in jail on multiple charges. His ex-girlfriend remains hospitalized with critical injuries.

Just before 10 a.m. Sunday, the 37-year-old man rammed his Volkswagen sedan into his 34-year-old ex-girlfriend's Honda Civic. He was traveling near 50 MPH when he t-boned the side of the Civic, sending the car flying into the Sherwood Terrace apartment complex along 112th Street East.

The woman was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The man's car flipped onto its roof, trapping him inside. The suspect was injured, but police arrested him at a local hospital on charges including first-degree domestic violence assault, second-degree assault, violating a no-contact order, reckless endangerment, violating a protection order, and driving with a suspended license.
