Service groups: Tacoma Rotary #8 (Board Member 1998-2000); Former board member of Tacoma Goodwill Industries (Board President 2004 and 2005); Board member of Goodwill Contracting Services. Former board member of Communities in Schools of Lakewood. Puyallup School Board (1971-75, President 1973-74); American, Washington and Pierce County Bar Associations; Marines Memorial Association; Tacoma Country and Golf Club; USA Track and Field (Official for High School, NCAA and Olympic Trials track and field meets); Boys’ Track Coach, Pioneer Middle School (2001 and 2002); Reading tutor, Stanley Elementary (1999-2005); Directed a successful Fire District bond campaign for new stations and equipment. Also has served as volunteer firefighter, volunteer legal services lawyer, Girl Scouts board member, church treasurer, youth sports coach, Paint Tacoma Beautiful and Habitat for Humanity volunteer.

What is the primary reason you are running for this office? To offer fiscally prudent solutions for improving the quality of life for the citizens of Lakewood.

What will be your top three priorities if you get elected and why? Ensure safer neighborhoods by providing adaquate funding and training for public safety personnel. Spend your tax dollars smarter while delivering essential public services. Create and enhance a business friendly environment that enables employers to thrive and create jobs in our community.
What sets you apart from the other candidates and/or previous office holders? I have no opponent. My experience and skill set differ from past councilmembers in that I have 30 years of experience in problem solving and conflict resolution as a lawyer practicing in business related areas of law.
