Missing Pierce County Boy Has Been Found

LAKEWOOD, WA — A 10-year-old boy who had been missing from a Spanaway for more than a week was found early Friday morning in Lakewood, the Pierce County Sheriff's Office says.

Amilleon Bonds, 10, was staying with his cousin when he went missing on Aug. 2, police said. Police thought that a relative picked Bonds up for a visit with his father in violation of a court order. But neither Bonds' father nor his mother knew where he was.

Police did not give details about the circumstances of how Bonds was found, but did say he has been placed in protective custody.
