Moon Rise Café A Good Place For Coffee, Sandwiches And Salads
Local establishment in the Lakewood Towne Center also features homemade jam.
Wake up early and visit the Moon Rise Café for what has been described as the best place in Lakewood for a hot cup of coffee and relaxed conversation.
Moon Rise is located in the Lakewood Towne Center, nestled between Emerald Smoothie and Garlic Jim’s Pizza. Owner Chris Curren opened Moon Rise four years ago with her daughter Sam Syverson after several years in the restaurant industry.
The menu includes a fresh mix of vegetarian choices including my favorite, the Greener. Portion sizes are amazing and each menu item comes with a choice of salad, soup or potatoes.
Carnivores need not be scared off by all the veggies. They also feature traditional favorites such as the Rueben and Monte Cristo sandwiches. Plan on walking away spending less than $20 for two. Take out items are ready in less than 10 minutes on most days if you're in a hurry.
Moon Rise is open Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2pm. I hear they serve good breakfast as well. I’ll be returning for the cafe’s homemade jam and outstanding customer service.
