Navy Federal Opens Fourth Tacoma Area Branch
New branch is short distance from Joint Base Lewis-McChord

VIENNA, Va. (March 6, 2015) – Navy Federal Credit Union, the world’s largest credit union, held a grand opening for its fourth Tacoma, Wash., location Wednesday. The branch opening signifies the 261st branch in the credit union.
The new branch is a short distance from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Cheney Stadium, and restaurants in the Allenmore Marketplace. The branch will serve approximately 12,000 members in the Tacoma market.
“Expanding in Tacoma allows our members to come into the branch and have their financial needs met in a face to face setting,” said Catharine Brisby, Navy Federal branch manager. “Our branch team is fully prepared and thrilled to serve the community.”

Betsy Hechtner and Meghan Granito from the Tacoma Rainiers minor league baseball team, along with the team mascot Rhubarb, helped celebrate the branch opening. Navy Federal is a corporate partner of the team, and hosts a table at various Military Appreciation Nights at Cheney Stadium.
Following the ribbon-cutting, the branch donated a check of $1,000 to the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Fisher House. The mission of the JBLM Fisher House is to provide servicemembers and their families a comfortable, nurturing and secure environment while they receive care at Madigan Army Medical Center.

The 3,500 square foot branch offers a full range of products and services, including mortgage counseling, coin machine, notary, and a full-service walk-up ATM. Lobby hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The new location is at 3407 South 23rd Street, Tacoma, Wash., 98405.
