Otters Attack, Nearly Drown Dog At American Lake
"There were like three-four and they were swarming all over," the dog owner told KIRO 7.

LAKEWOOD, WA - A pack of otters attacked and injured a Labrador retriever along the shores of American Lake in Lakewood, according to KIRO 7. The attack happened Wednesday when at least three otters dragged the 2-year-old lab, Gracie, into the lake.
"[Gracie] was actually drug under the water and there were like three, four and they were swarming all over her,” owner Linda Willingham told KIRO's Rob Munoz.
The dog suffered bite wounds, but was otherwise unharmed. Gracie, however, will not go back in the water.

This isn't the first instance of blood-thirsty otters at American Lake. The owner of Bill's Boathouse told KIRO that he had to stop releasing game trout into the lake because the otters would break into the bags holding the fish.
Willingham told KIRO that she's keeping her family out of the lake until she feels comfortable the otters are no longer a threat.
