Passenger Shot On I-5 Near JBLM
A 29-year-old woman was shot in the elbow early Thursday morning, now troopers are looking for the shooter.
LAKEWOOD, WA — A 29-year-old woman was shot as she rode down I-5 early Thursday morning, now law enforcement is searching for the shooter.
According to Washington State Patrol, the shooting happened around 5:15 a.m. on northbound I-5 near exit 120 to Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Troopers say the victim's car had been riding down the freeway when another vehicle pulled up alongside it and opened fire.
The victim, a passenger in the vehicle, was hit in the elbow.

Troopers posted a photo of the car the victim was riding in, showing at least one additional bullet hole above the front right wheel.

WSP says their troopers are investigating the case and hope to have a description of the shooter's car soon. In the meantime, they are asking anyone who may have been in the area or seen anything to give them a call.
