Pedestrian Hit On I-5 Dies: Update
The driver who hit him is not expected to face charges.

LAKEWOOD, WA - A person who ran across I-5 Sunday and was hit by a car has died.
The accident happened around 2 p.m. Sunday near exit 123 at North Thorne Lane Southwest. The pedestrian apparently ran across the southbound lanes, and was hit by a man driving a Jeep, according to reports. The driver is not expected to face charges.
The pedestrian was transported to Madigan Army Medical Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, but later died.

Southbound lanes of I-5 were closed Sunday for the investigation, backing up traffic as far as the 512 interchange.
