Pierce County Deputy Injured By Drunk Driver
A Thursday night wreck occurred when a man left a tavern parking lot.

PARKLAND, WA - A Pierce County Sheriff's deputy's patrol car was hit by a drunk driver and rolled down an embankment. The Thursday night crash happened at 9:45 near 125th Street South and Pacific Avenue South. The deputy had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
A 25-year-old man allegedly pulled out of a bar parking lot and hit the deputy's car. The suspect is now in custody for vehicular assault and DUI.
