Lakewood Police Search For Suspect In 'Takeover Style' Armed Robbery
Detectives are also hoping to find a witness driving a Ford F-150.
LAKEWOOD, WA - A lone armed man enacted a "takeover style" robbery of a Key Bank branch here on Dec. 21, and police have released images of the robbery in case someone recognizes the suspect or a potential witness.
The man entered the Key Bank along Steilacoom Boulevard Southwest near 5 p.m. on Dec. 21. He was carrying a semi-automatic handgun and wearing a black hoodie, jeans, black shoes, and a mask; he was also wearing rubber gloves. He fled the bank out the rear after taking cash. Police believe he is 5'6" to 5'8" tall.
After reviewing surveillance video, detectives noticed a truck in the parking lot, and think a potential witness inside that vehicle may have seen something. The truck is a white 2013-15 Ford F-150.
