Rape, Burglary Suspect Wanted In Pierce County: Sheriff

Police believe the suspect tied his ex-girlfriend to a stool and then sexually assaulted her, police said.

SPANAWAY, WA - Pierce County detectives are looking for a man in connection to a brutal rape and burglary that happened earlier in January. Police want to arrest the suspect, David Love, 53, on charges of first-degree rape, second-degree burglary, unlawful imprisonment, and a felony domestic violence warrant.

According to police, on the night of Jan. 6 Love allegedly hid in wait under his ex-girlfriend's porch. When Love saw his ex's roommate leave the home, police said, he allegedly busted in and began threatening his former partner. Love allegedly held a knife to the woman's throat, police said.

Then, Love allegedly tied the woman to a stool and carried out a sexual assault, the sheriff's office said. Love left the home after he heard his ex's roommate return.

Police believe Love frequents Spanaway and the eastern Tacoma city limits. Love is 5'9", 235 pounds, and has gray hair and hazel eyes. He has a noticeable scar on his left cheek.
