LAKEWOOD, WA — The Lakewood Police Department is inviting the community to a special remembrance ceremony Friday morning, honoring the lives of four officers who were shot and killed at a Parkland cafe 10 years ago.

Sergeant Mark Renninger, Officer Tina Griswold, Officer Ronald Owens, and Officer Greg Richards died on Nov. 29, 2009, after a gunman opened fire inside the Forza Coffee Shop. The suspect was found by Seattle Police after a two-day manhunt and shot and killed by an officer following a confrontation. Five other suspects were later convicted as accomplices.

Friday morning's flag ceremony to honor the fallen officers will take place at the coffee shop, now named Blue Steele Coffee.
