Save $43 million - start-up costs alone - and protect privacy

Senate Republicans want ideas on how to save money.

Here’s a $43 million (minimum as that’s just the start-up estimate) cost-savings proposal.

Scrap Governor Jay Inslee’s Blue-Ribbon Commission’s “Welcome to Washington Baby Act” aka “Universal Visitation.”

At last check there were 29,000 ‘likes’ to this article decrying the creation of such an exorbitant, unnecessary, and overreaching bloated bureaucracy that supposedly would better serve children.

The same agencies that, in just the last two years, forked over $100 million in damages weren’t even evaluated in the Blue-Ribbon Commission study.

Respondents protesting this, yet another, amalgamation of DCYF, CPS and the Department of Early Learning are rising up from the Oregon border to the Canadian, Washington residents registering their opposition to yet another expansion of government, and yet another intrusion into heretofore what were thought to be safe places: the home.
