School Book Fair Marks Cinco de Mayo

St. Mary's book-raiser adds to classroom libraries with songs.

Saint Mary's Church and School held a book fair at Barnes and Noble as a way to add classroom books at the Episcopal school on Thursday for Cinco De Mayo. Books on the wish lists of teachers were on display for people to buy at a discount and then turned around for classroom donation

The book table was a bit sparse by the hour-long event ended after school with a stock of children's versions of classic books and other fun reads. To mark Cinco de Mayo, the children sang songs in Spanish and principal Glen Lutz read a story book in English and Spanish.
