Search On For Pierce Co. Bank Robbery Suspect
He walked into a bank Wednesday morning on the east side of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, police say.
SPANAWAY, WA — Police in Pierce County are hunting for a man who robbed a bank in Spanaway on Wednesday afternoon with a hand-written note.
The robbery happened just before 10 a.m. at the Key Bank along Pacific Avenue near Cross-Base Highway. The man handed the teller a note demanding cash, but kept his other hand in his pocket, which police say was meant to imply he had a weapon.
The robber was wearing a latex mask, latex gloves, sunglasses, and a reflective construction-style vest at the time of the robbery. He fled the bank in an older four-door Honda Civic.
