Distracted Driving Suspected In SR 512 Crash
Three people were injured in a serious crash that blocked SR 512 for more than two hours Thursday.
PARKLAND, WA - Police believe distracted driving is a factor in a crash that sent three people to the hospital and blocked SR 512 for more than two hours Thursday morning.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes of SR 512 around 10:15 a.m. Thursday near the Ainsworth Avenue overpass. State patrol reported that Dale Robling, 35, of Spanaway, was driving westbound when he failed to stop for traffic in front of him.
Robling's car hit a car driven by Sean Bonds, 37, of Tacoma. A third vehicle, driven by Matondo Wawa, 57, of Spanaway, hit Robling's car after Robling swerved away from Bonds' car. Wawa, his passenger, and Robling were all taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma for treatment.
