Think You Can Sing?
The city is hosting a Lakewood's Brightest Star competition in two weeks. The winner will collect $100 at the end of the contest.

The City of Lakewood Parks and Recreation Department wants to make you famous. Well, not really, but there's money involved so here's your chance.
Auditions for Lakewood's Brightest Star will be held from 4-7 p.m. on July 14 at the Lakewood City Hall Council Chambers. Singers must bring a karaoke and a back-up disc without vocals. There is a $10 audition fee. Duet performances are not allowed. The age range is 12 and up.
Eight finalists will advance to the final competition, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19 at American Lake Park. The winner will take home $100 in cash.
