Steilacoom School District Hires New Student Services Director
Susanne Beauchaine comes to the position from the State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Susanne Beauchaine has been named the new executive director of Student Services in the Steilacoom Historical School District.
Beauchaine will begin her position on Aug. 6.
She comes to Steilacoom from the State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, where she was program supervisor fo the Equity and Civil Rights Office. She also chaired the Special Education Department at Washington High School in the Franklin Pierce School District and worked in the Wichita Falls (Kan.) Independent School District.

"Susanne brings strong management and hands-on experience in each of the district’s special-program areas," said SHSD Superintendent Bill Fritz, in a news release. "She also has a track record of creating quality relationships with students, staff and parents. We welcome her to the community."
Beauchaine, who holds a bachelor's in political science and specal education from Midwestern State University and a master's in public administration from The Evergreen State College, also served as an aircrew life support technician in the Air Force.
