Suspect With 'Licensed To Run' T-Shirt Can't Outrun Police

This suspect had a license to run. Turns out his license is expired.

OLYMPIA, WA - This man is so good at running, he had to get licensed by the state of Washington. But it turns out his license is expired because he was chased down early Sunday by police in Olympia.

Olympia police posted a picture of the man's T-shirt on Twitter, adding that officers were unaware of the man's credentials before they engaged him in a foot chase. Not only did they catch him, but the suspect was "tired" when he was arrested for outstanding warrants.

The tweet caught the attention of other police departments. The Arkansas City, Ark., department replied to Olympia police regarding the chase.

"Good thing you're 'licensed to apprehend,'" they joked.

For what it's worth, the state Department of Licensing is headquartered in Olympia, so it should be easy for him to renew his license to run once he gets out of jail.
