Valentine's Day: Share Your Story

Warm up your significant other with a heart-felt note about how you feel about them. Trust me, they'll appreciate it.

Valentine's Day invites couples to spend money to validate their love or affection. I'm not a huge proponent of materialistic spending, but I believe an honest and thoughtful gift minus the dollar signs carries the heart-felt message with just as much meaning.

What better way to let your significant other know how you feel by writing a thoughtful note through the Lakewood Patch web site about how you feel about them. We want to hear about your first encounter with your honey, a unique wedding proposal that you orchestrated or a favorite memory that you both share.

Write the story in less than 200 words and submit it to me at marques.hunter@patch.com. Don't forget to attach a photo of you and your significant other, and check back during the week as Lakewood Patch will post the best stories on the website and on Valentine's Day.
