Video: 3 Suspicious Fires In Lakewood Under Investigation

Three abandoned buildings were torched in Lakewood over the weekend. All three are under investigation.

LAKEWOOD, WA - Lakewood police and West Pierce fire are working together to investigate a series of suspicious fires that occurred over the weekend.

Firefighters responded to three separate structures on fire on Saturday night and early Sunday morning. All three were in abandoned buildings and were located in the Tillicum and Woodbrook neighborhoods.

The first fire broke out Saturday around 7:30 p.m. along the 7100 block of 146th Street Southwest, which is southeast of I-5. The second fire broke happened almost exactly four hours later along the 8200 block of Maple Street Southwest, which is across I-5 in Tillicum.

Just a few minutes later, firefighters were called to a fire in an abandoned apartment building along the 8300 block of Berkeley Avenue Southwest. That's about three blocks south of the fire along Maple Street Southwest.
