Retiring Police Dog Gives One Last (Adorable) Press Conference: WATCH

Melnic the police K-9 is retiring, but he has a few things to say before he goes ... mostly just barking.

OLYMPIA, WA — Melnic the Olympia Police K-9 is retiring. But before he goes, he wanted to do one last press conference.

Olympia Police wanted to give the six-year veteran a proper sendoff as he heads into retirement, so they put together a delightful video of him barking at the press. Melnic answers the questions pretty honestly, although it's hard to make out exactly what he's saying.

In addition to his police dog duties, Melnic has been a local celebrity in Olympia. He was the literal poster boy for the Where's Melnic scavenger hunts, where residents scour the city for hidden images of the K-9.
