Whiz Kid's Accomplishments: Ana Laura, a native Spanish speaker, is a great example for other English Language Learners (ELL) at Lochburn, having tested out of the program and into mainstream classes is just one year. Now, she is an Honor Roll student who serves as a bilingual teacher's assistant in ELL classes.
Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: By working hard in school and being a friend to everyone, Ana Laura will go far, says nominator Shelley Heinzman, an ELL teacher at Lochburn. She has ambitions to become a math teacher, but first, she plans to continue to shine as a soccer and basketball player for the Lions.
