Clover Park graduate is headed to the University of Virginia, where he plans to study computer engineering.

4. Accomplishments: Cornelius graduated with honors from Clover Park. Around school, he was known for his athletic prowess as a member of the varsity football, basketball and track teams. His greatest success came in his junior year, when the Warriors won their first state basketball championship in school history.
“One of my biggest accomplishments was being a part of the first Clover Park basketball team to win state,” he said.

Cornelius was also a Lakewood Rotary Student of the Month and volunteered with youth sports.
Next year, Cornelius will attend the University of Virginia, where he plans to study computer engineering.
5. Keys to his success: Cornelius said he credits “Jesus Christ, my family and my friends for all of the motivation.”
6. Best high-school memories: Cornelius said he couldn’t narrow down one favorite moment; instead, he said he loved “everything.”
“The good and the bad,” he said, “because everything played a role in this memorable year.”
