Who Killed Earl Switzer? Man Hit By Car After Parkland Bar Confrontation

Earl Switzer Jr. was hit by a car after a disturbance at a Parkland bar. He died over the weekend due to his injuries.

PARKLAND, WA - Early in the morning on Feb. 2, Earl Switzer Jr. was found lying along Park Avenue South with a severe head injury. Moments earlier, he had caused a disturbance inside the Hard Luck Bar & Grill, police say.

Switzer died on Saturday as a result of his injuries. Police want to arrest the driver on a vehicular homicide charge.

The Pierce County Sheriff's office reported that Switzer was at the Hard Luck shortly before he was hit, and may have tried to cause a disturbance with a few patrons there. Switzer left the bar along the 10700 block of Park Avenue South and was just two blocks north when he was hit.

At the scene, police found a mirror from a vehicle, which they say might be from an older model pickup.
