Woman Killed During Lakewood Home Invasion, 2 Men Sought
Lakewood Police are looking for two men after a woman was killed during a robbery inside a Lakewood apartment Tuesday morning.
LAKEWOOD, WA — Lakewood detectives are searching for two men wanted in connection with an early home invasion that led to the death of a 36-year-old woman. According to police, officers were called to the Union Crest Apartments in Tillicum shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday.
A 911 caller told dispatchers his daughter was shot after two suspects entered the apartment with guns. The victim told police one of the men confronted him in his bedroom, and he heard the other man yelling at his daughter in another room, then heard a gunshot. Detectives said both suspects stole some electronics and left the apartment.
The woman was pronounced dead when medics arrived at the scene.

The News Tribune reports the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 36-year-old Melissa Williams.
Lakewood Police said detectives were canvassing the area looking for witnesses and video. A description of the suspects was not immediately available. An update on the case was expected later in the day.
