The crash happened around 2 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-5 near Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

LAKEWOOD, WA - A wrong-way driver collided with another vehicle along I-5 Thursday afternoon, according to Washington State Patrol. The crash happened near exit 119, which is the exit for Steilacoom-DuPont Road. Expect delays in that area this afternoon.

The passenger who died in the crash was Berdie Owings, 69, of DuPont. The driver of the 2003 Suzuki Aerio, Albert Owings, 82, of DuPont, was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital.
