A Note From Guest Editor Robert Baldino

Hello readers. Mercer Island Patch Editor Kendall Watson is taking a few days off around the Thanksgiving holiday so I'll be keeping on eye on the Mercer Island Patch site for him for a couple of days.

I've been writing for Patch since late 2010. Most of my work can be seen on Sammamish Patch, but I've written for Bellevue Patch, Redmond Patch and Kirkland Patch as well.

I'm hoping it will be an interesting couple of days as I learn more about your city and you learn a bit about me.
