The Seattle Times' Mason Kelley released his <a href="http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/highschoolsportsblog/index.html?from=stnvs2" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">pre-season basketball rankings</a> yesterday and both basketball teams were mentioned. The girls team ﻿was ranked No. 9﻿, as it returns three starters from last years 22-7 team that made it to the state semifinal round. The boys were listed as a team "on the bubble," just missing out on a top-10 ranking. The Islanders will be competing against conference rival, No. 10 Bellevue, for the KingCo 3A crown.The boys begin their season on Dec. 1 against Eastlake, while the girls begin at home against Mount Si on Dec. 3.
