Show runs March 3-May 29 at the WPW Gallery downtown. Opening Reception on March 5th from 4-6pm with music from Cornish College of the Arts
Black and white, or light and dark, are the raw most basic elements to seeing and interpreting the world around us. Thirty-six members of the Women Painters of Washington (WPW) discard all color but one in their new show Black and White + One running March 3-May 29 at the WPW Gallery downtown. Each artist offers up provokingly focused pieces ranging from the abstract to the realistic. The works on display express a broad array of emotions, intentions and meanings allowing us the opportunity to change the way we view the world or solidify it. Opening reception will be held on Thursday, March 5th from 4-6pm with a musical ensemble from Cornish College of the Arts. (WPW gallery is located in the Columbia Center Building downtown 701-5th Ave., Suite 310, Seattle - Gallery Line: 206-624-0543).
