Boys U16 Warriors Finalists in First Soccer Tournament of the Season

The Warriors, MI’s U16A boys team, were the finalists in their first tournament of the 2013-14 season, the Washington Premier F.C. 21st Rainier Challenge, held on June 15-16 in Puyallup.  Lead by Coach Farzad Zafari and Asst Coach, Roy Umlauf, the team competed against premier teams in the Copa division, making it to the championship match with the most goals in the division (10); and conceding the final to Crossfire B97 James by a score of 2-1.  The team is comprised of players who have played together for many years, and they were pleased to welcome back Brian McGinley and also guest player, Dominic Giampapa. The Warriors, as pictured left to right starting from the front row, are:

David Braman, Nick Umlauf, Josh Park, Jules Van de Bospoort, Austin Taylor, Jason Zhu, Noah Talerman and Cameron Wittman;

Coach Farzad Zafari, Artemis Zafari, Tiger McBurney, Max Boksem, Ramsey Attisha, Brian McGinley, Jonathan Perr, Ethan Iano and Coach Roy Umlauf.
