My Thoughts about what's called the "Organic Design" of our Mercer Island, Washington, other family homes:

As a retired residential architect, I can be expected to say that the home designer should be educated in design principles, have good taste and know how homes are used. But that isn't enough- it takes a certain spark and enthusiasm to make it all come together. Especially important anywhere is the complete consideration of the neighborhood- and the earthly attributes of the building site.

My intention is make this "PatchBlog" a place where I can post my thoughts, my "PatchReaders" can comment/contribute just as they see fit. Jerry
