Northwest Yeshiva High School (NYHS) announces Honor Society Scholarships for 8th & 9th Graders

Northwest Yeshiva High School announces Honor Society Scholarships for teens in 8th or 9th grade.

The Northwest Yeshiva High School's Board of Directors has announced a new initiative to attract exemplary Jewish teens in public and/or secular private schools. NYHS is awarding a $5,000 Honor Society scholarship for up to 5 qualified students in Washington State.   

Qualified students must currently be enrolled in either 8th or 9th grade in a public or private secular school.  Additionally, they may not have attended a Jewish day school for the past 3 years, and must demonstrate excellence in one (or more) of the five following areas:

NYHS is the Pacific Northwest's premier full-time, dual-curriculum, college-preparatory Jewish high school located on Mercer Island.  Our future is in our classrooms today. Judaic and academic courses are taught at all levels, from basic to honors and AP. Community service is part of the curriculum. NYHS students are accepted to a wide range of excellent colleges and universities and are well-prepared to meet the challenges of rigorous curricula.

Students who complete the application and nomination process and are selected, will be entered into the NYHS Honor Society and be granted $5,000 per year as long as they maintain a minimum required GPA and uphold character integrity.
