Stay in Your Multi-Story Home With an Elevator or Stair Chair Lift
Older Island residents may want to consider installing a residential elevator or stair lift to maintain their lifestyle.
Over the years I’ve done a number of these Home Elevators- they’ve all worked out very well.
Those considering a multi-story home may be daunted by the stairs and those listing same for sale may wish to have a solution in hand before the question arises. Of course, it depends on the people involved.
While our first homes were all tall ones with stairs to keep us in shape for skiing/hiking season, our present one story home works just great for us. Here’s a home I did on Hawaii's Big Island that was designed to be elevator-ready. Sadly it turned out to be needed because the owner's son was made a parapalegic by a big wave while he was surfing.
