StandWithUs "Israeli Soldiers Stories" with Hen and Shai

Two Israeli college student-reservists will speak candidly about growing up in Israel, the mandatory 3-year service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and life on an Israeli university.


Hen and Shai will focus on the Arab-Israeli conflict, human rights issues and share their reactions to complex/stressful situations they faced as soldiers.


Hen served in an IDF unit that focuses on cooperation and coordination with nongovernmental organizations NGO's), the United Nations and foreign missions in the West Bank. He worked in diplomacy, international law and humanitarian affairs.

Shai is pursuing a master’s degree in organizational consulting. During the second Intifada, he served in  the elite unit of the Givati Infantry Brigade.
