Fall Season in the PSPL and Pre-Season Training

The much anticipated second fall season for Islander FC is on the horizon. The clubs participation in the ISC Gunners invitational by most of its teams, now followed by the registration of all our teams to US Clubs 'Puget Sound Premier League' (PSPL) has heightened the new season buzz around the club. We are now eagerly awaiting the seasons schedule to be released.

So... you might wonder how on field preparations are going? The answer is, Fantastic!

Since we began our pre-season training a little earlier, in order to give our children a running start for the fall campaign. The past six weeks has seen our Islander players improve considerably in a few fundamental areas.

Here are a few improvements the coaches have observed with every group:

  • Coordination and Footwork
  • Ball control and basic evasive dribbling techniques
  • Soccer related movement patterns

The training sessions regular and thorough warm ups have allowed each child, the time and consistency to improve in the above areas. Combining this with observant, patient and precise coaching from our coaching team and hard work from the children, it is of no surprise we start fall season positively.
Heres to a great Fall Season 2013, keep it up Islanders!
