I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. Real estate in the spring! It's a busy time as buyers get more serious and more and more homes come on the market. While it's not quite as crazy all around as last spring, it is still definitely a strong seller's market out there.
January and February saw a good chunk of Island listings go pending, and now we're back to just a few months of inventory. (You probably hear this all the time, but it really is a VERY good time to sell here on Mercer Island and in most of the Seattle area.)
Nice things is, interest rates are still nice and low, especially with jumbo loans. We're seeing rates on jumbos that are still right around or below rates for conventional loans, which is definitely helpful for those buying here on the Island.
Want to know more about what's going on in the market these days? I'm hosting a home buyer seminar on April 10th (4:30 p.m., Redmond Town Center Marriott). Sign up early on Eventbrite for an extra chance to win a pair of my Seattle Sounders FC tickets! Details here.
See you there!
