Who has tight Hips?
Sitters, drivers, couch-surfers, glute-clenchers, runners, walkers,
bikers, hikers, weekend warriors, athletes, active yogi's, not-so-active
yogi's...We all do!
The Hips are a complex joint in the
body comprised of many powerful muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves,
and blood vessels. The pelvic region is our center of gravity,
maintaining important aspects of balance and providing deep muscular
connections between upper and lower body. Strength and flexibility are
equally important in the mobility and stability of the hips and pelvic
region. This area is the storehouse for our creative power and the junk
drawer for deep emotions and thoughts we may not even know we have. Hips are the most commonly requested area of focus in a yoga class.
In
this workshop, Carley offers a specially sequenced practice designed to
increase flexibility and range of motion, restore balance and alignment
and improve circulation. This practice will aid in alleviating tension,
tight muscles and the accompanying discomfort often found in the
low-back and knees. In just two hours, your hips will feel healthier -
more open and aligned, providing you a sense of freedom, release and
relaxation.
As a massage
therapist, yoga teacher and active outdoor enthusiast, Carley will
skillfully and safely guide you through a series of postures to massage,
lengthen and strengthen your muscles. You don't want to miss this one!
