Our Introduction to Vinyasa Yoga Series is the perfect place to begin
your Vinyasa yoga practice or reawaken your existing practice. Vinyasa
is a style of yoga that incorporates smooth, fluid movement synchronized
with breath…a flowing style of yoga.
This 3-week series
is taught progressively using demonstration and discussion to introduce
the fundamentals of yoga while learning properalignment, transitions
and safe modifications. We will learn basic sun salutation sequences,
traditional poses and core integration exercises to strengthen and
stretch both body and mind. Each class will bring focus to yoga
breathing which calms the mind and reduces stress. We will sprinkle in a
little history and philosophy of yoga, try not to take ourselves too
seriously and allow plenty of time for your questions. This series is
the perfect preparation for our Vinyasa style classes and may be taken
multiple times.

practice, please try Gentle Yoga or Introdution to Mediation. A more intense/vigorous practice is
introduced in our Foundations to Power Vinyasa Yoga Weekend Immersion.
