Like many other residents of Mercer Island, we have felt recently that we have not been well represented by some of the long term members of the City Council. It was not too long ago that we were being told by these people that tolling I-90 was a “done deal.” When a wave of protest began to build, these same people began changing their stories, offering us a series of mixed messages, variations of options for tolling residents of Mercer Island. We thus welcomed the clarity and straightforward statements by Kevin Scheid, and have endorsed his candidacy to bring a fresh voice to this and the many other issues facing our city.
