Deadly Mercer Island Crash Ends In 2 Arrests
Police are investigating a serious injury collision along West Mercer Way.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - One person died early Friday morning in a hit-and-run crash along West Mercer Way at the north end of Mercer Island. The crash happened at 6:45 a.m., according to Mercer Island police, when one vehicle ran a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit was dead at the scene. There were two adult males in the suspect vehicle, and one fled the scene after the crash. He was quickly caught by Mercer Island police, according to the department. The two men were arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide.
The two vehicles involved in the accident appeared to be sedans, although police could not immediately say how the victim vehicle was hit.
