May Events At Stroum Jewish Community Center
May is jam-packed with events at the Stroum JCC, from an 80s discotheque to a visit from a Pulitzer Prize winner.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - The Stroum Jewish Community Center has a number of exciting events coming up in May. The events calendar includes a visit from a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and famed Seattle musician and Heart songwriter Sue Ennis. Here's what's on tap for May:
Adult Learning: Chai Mitzvah
Mondays, May 8 through January 2018, 7 pm
This unique adult engagement program explores Jewish learning, spirituality, and social action. Open to people from any background of Jewish knowledge and living. Meets on the second Monday of the month
Kerzer Borthers
Thursday, May 11, 7:30 pm
KEXP host Jon Kertzer interviews his Pulitzer-winning brother, David, about the upcoming Steven Spielberg/Tony Kushner adaptation of David's book "The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara."

Spring Adult Dance Classes: Foxtrot and Westcoast Swing
Mondays, through May 15, 7pm
Step by step dance instruction, from graceful Big Band sounds to smooth and sexy sounds. All levels welcome.
Seattle Music Legends Sue Ennis and Hummie Mann
Saturday, May 13, 7:30pm no host cash bar 6:30pm
A rare, live performance from two Seattle recording legends. Songwriter Sue Ennis has co-written over 70 songs for the legendary rock band, Heart, such as Even It Up, and Emmy-award winning Hollywood film composer Hummie Mann has scored two Mel Brooks films (Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Dracula, Dead and Loving It); co-produced hit scores for Sleepless in Seattle and A Few Good Men; and orchestrated and conducted countless others including “Sister Act, The Addams Family, and for the TV shows The Simpsons and Fame.

Restful Insomnia Class: Soothe the Non-Stop Mind That Keeps You Awake
